Youtube

We had been listening to Mirriam Webster's Word of the Day podcast for the past few weeks.  The class enjoyed learning all of these new words.  However, they complained that the voice on the podcast was rather "boring" so I had them come up with a suggestion for making it better.  Eventually, several students suggested that we do our own Word of the Day.  Thus, Ms. Snyder's and Ms. Stappleton's Word of the Day was born.  We have even created our own Youtube (yes, Youtube) channel to house all of our work.  I hope the classes are excited now about learning new words.  Check back often and stay tuned!

Valentine's Day Celebration

Dear Panther Parents,
Monday, February 14th is Valentine’s Day. The students are welcome to bring in Valentines to exchange. If you would like to send in any treats, please feel free to send them in. We will celebrate in our homeroom at the end of the day so you only need to send in enough treats for your child’s homeroom. A class list will be attached to the newsletter this week. Let’s make this last Valentine’s Day in elementary school a memorable one!
Thanks,
Ms. Snyder and Mrs. Schermann

Black History Month Bags

Dear Panther Parents,
Last week, we were assigned a different person to report in honor of Black History Month. We are supposed to find out information about our specific person. We are to then put that information on an index card and place it in the paper bag. On the front of the bag, we are supposed to draw a picture or print a picture of the person we are studying. The back should contain important information including a timeline. This project is due Friday, February 11th. Be sure to work on it this week! No late projects will be accepted!
